Happy Holidays 2024

The year 2024 has been full of great adventures. We spent the month of February in Antigua cheering on Hound. Carol did some interviews for the book and I capture on board and race start stills. While there we fit in a lot of Wingfoiling, thanks to the hound container.

English and Falmouth Harbors, Antigua

The final two weeks in Antigua we were at the Dutchmans Bay Cottages feet from the water. If you are into SUP, Kite surfing/foiling, wingfoiling this is a dream location. Off the beaten path a bit but that makes it special. And if you want to rent gear, take lessons, there is a shop right next to the cottages with first class gear and instruction. Kelsick Kiteboarding. Highly recommend.

Dutchmans Bay Cottage, foiling paradise

Back home in early spring we were back on the water wingfoiling. Not too hard to know what we did as often as possible this year.

We also sailed Matsya a bit, used Pierre (which is now sold) for adventures to the Cape a few times, Block Island a few times. Each time with our foil and SUP gear of course. Also cruising with Nick on Katrina.

In July I finally decided to do my right knee since the left one was coming up on five years and working great. Thirty years bone on bone is enough. I foiled right up to 14 days before surgery which was 21 October. Tomorrow 23 Dec is my last PT visit. We have set up my custom workouts, that of course I will not stop doing. This knee is even better than the other. Dr. Burns using the robot did a fantastic job. And PT was first class. Thank you Dr. Burns, Ortho RI, South County Hospital, and Kyle Ng my PT. Big hug to the best home care person, Carol. Plan is to be back to foiling in April/May, still a lot of work at my end.

The Coffee Shop Foilers have had a great fall with Bruce, Carol, Dan, and Rob getting in 30 days since I stopped. What a fantastic fall for foiling. Of course that has been the hardest part of my fall recovery watching (FOMO). The last two days they went were 7 & 17 December, which has some clips in the Christmas video with Carol and Rob.

Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a great 2025. Have Fun Every day!

See you soon, Paul
