Quest 30 Archived Video
I found this video while checking my archives. It was taken the day/night I sailed Samba my Quest 30 in the 2009 Solo/Twin race singlehanded. Great race, and I encourage everyone in the Southern New England area to give it a try, either single or double handed. Enjoy the great group of people and boats while you sail on a really fun overnight course.
As you will see in the video I was not told about the course change and sailed the course that was posted when I went to the skippers meeting. Both my fault and RC poor communications that I did not get the course change. Oh well, a fun sail.
Samba is the prototype Quest 30 I owned and a bit different then all the others. She is ligher then all the other Quest 30’s, L-bulb, outboard, and a few other tricks that make her fastest Quest 30 built. Her new owner Tristian has done well with her singlehanded and crewed.
NOTE Notice in the previous post where I talk about SunFast 3200 rating I have made a correction. The PHRF NB committee adjusted the rating to 93. Nice job committee. Also PHRF San Diego raised it to 96, and PHRF NC raised it to 81. All positive moves and nice to see the PHRF committees are making proper adjustments.
Enjoy this video link it takes you on a short ride with fun conditions.
