Summer Fun

Happy August

Vacations, summer fun in the sun with family and friends, and of course sailing, and now SUP.

Work has been great with video boat reviews taking us to fantastic locations.  In June it was Wisconsin to review Cruisers Sport Series boats with a factory tour, and a sneak peak video review of their exciting new model coming out at the fall boat shows. Wisconsin is a beautiful place and Green Bay is stunning.

I will post not only video boat reviews but also exciting How To videos and Boat Show shorts with great interviews.  Yes I am bias as I shot, directed, and edited most of the videos.  There are some videos shot by the editors and writers at boats.com and edited by Carol Cronin managing editor of boats.com.  So lots of exciting new media to check out with more coming on line weekly.

Sailing this summer has been great.  I have spent more time on my Formula board this summer then I have in years.  Always forget how much fun a flat out fast skiff you can stick in your van is to sail. And talk about keeping you dialed in for other sailing, nothing like it.

Formula board and 10.0 after sunrise sail.

For the performance sailors reading this check out the Formula specs:  22lb board, 1 meter wide, 2.3 meters long, 70 cm skeg and 11.0 Sq meter sail make the formula a rocket on the water.

My 14′ Bark Dominator

I took the plunge and purchased a SUP.  Yup, SUP is for me, I am hooked.  Last year my wife gave it a go and loved it, so I gave it a try on her board and was hooked from day one. Great full body workout and I like ticking off the miles.  I purchased a Bark Dominator 14’ carbon board and a Quick Blade carbon paddle.  Nice combo for my weight and all around paddling.

Cheers,

Paul
