Episode 48 Year of Learning
Hard to believe this is the 48th episode, and third year of, In and Out of the Boat Shop. It has been a fun ride, and I plan on going on for years. Episode 47, Foil Board Repair
As we sit in the middle of a three day Nor’Easter here in Rhode Island, my foiling time is cut back, so lets talk board repair. First my Slingshot foil gear is great. Well built, not far off plug an play. Letting me progress with my foil windsurfing learning curve. US Olympic Sailing, Broken
This is not something I do very often, but it is important if you care about the US Olympic Sailing Teams success. I have my thoughts after coaching US and other countries Olympic sailors, but I do not want to throw a wrench in the works. Episode 46 My Foil Gear
Fall in the air, crowds on the water have diminished, and great fall breeze has arrived. I have been headed out every chance I get to go foiling on my gear. It is a non-stop learning experience and I love it. At times breaking 44 years of windsurfing habits, and at the same time taking my windsurfing skills and transferring to my foil gear. New England Solo/Twin Race 2019
2019 New England Solo/Twin, 25-26 July, Newport Yacht Club Olson 30, Kristianna, PHRF 104 Conditions 0-8 kts, SSE, S, E, NE, NW, N Course: Start off Goat Island with Folk Festival going on, what a hoot. Then to the SW corner of Block Island, Buzzards Bay Tower, back to MOA -“NB”, then finish at 120 degree bearing to Castle Hill Lighthouse. 70 Miles is one of the shorter courses for this race, which made sense with the light winds forecast.
