• Day Four on Condor

Day started with sail change from A1.5 to A3 last night at midnight when it went into the 20’s.  Black night again but we could see the phosphorecen (spelling) on the breaking waves around us.  What a blast to drive down waves into the black night. I had a great ride setting the new record driving once the A3 weent up doing 17.84K.  More of that to come. This morning was some big holes and it showed in our sched, we are working hard to let the dog off the leash not just take it for a walk. Sally we…

  • Day three on the Condor

Last night was one of those dark nights off shore when you are happy for the big NKE readouts.  Jib top, staysail, and full main.  Big shifts and lots of up and down pressure but we kept her on her feet and made the miles. Today little saildrive issue pulling water to cool the engine in for the batt charge.   But with a boat full of engineers it was solved and batt is charged.  Now 1.5 and full main making miles in the SUN. Time for my afternoon nap. Elaine Buzz wants you to check to see if Erika Waslan…

  • Day Two Pacific Cup

Well David has not eaten all the peanut butter yet. Easy reach out last night and set kite this morning.  All are well and we have started to get in to the offshore grove.  Just realized I am writing exactly 24 hrs after the start. Off to my bunk and more tomorrow. Nice nap and woke up to Brent, Jim, and Kame flying the Condor.  Big kite up and making miles. Kame quote of the day, “Dont bother me I am sailing,” with his huge smile. Back into full kit and start my watch.    Aloha
