Seasons Changing

We have been very fortunate this fall with nice weather for being on the water. I took Pierre to Pleasant Street Boat Yard today to hang on the dock for a couple of weeks. Matsya is in her shed, and wing foil gear is still in the van ready to go.

I love this time of year on the water, the crowds are gone, water temp is still at 59 today, but now starting to drop off quickly till late January when it is near or at freezing. So we are making the most of it now.

Congratulation to one of my shorthanded clients who only started sailing in 2021, and won a distance day race singlehanded against a fleet of fully crewed boats. He is climbing the ladder quickly, being smart, learning what it takes, and seeking help so he will achieve his goals, all while enjoying the whole process. Pierre has had us on the water overnights when we would not go otherwise. Carol put a three inch Tempur-Pedic pad on top of the mattress. The most comfortable bunk I have ever slept on, and it is huge with hatch overhead.

Pierre is getting the bottom blasted to glass before he goes in the shop. We will decide on how much work to do in mid November when in the shop. Right now, still doing overnights with foil gear in the bay. Might have a series of videos on Pierre’s work this winter. More on that when we decide on the jobs. At 40 years old with workboat finish which we like, there are a lot of jobs.

Framed prints are going out the door to very happy customers. I have found a new framing option that is excellent. When you order a print there is no framing option online, since there are so many option. At that time we can discuss if you would like a frame or not, and what type of wood. Then I will send you an email with an invoice from Square. I have been using Square for years with my business and am very happy with the results. Much better option for buyer and seller.

Recently I have been increasing my stock video clips with Shutterstock.com and Naturefootage.com. I am also working with a couple of clients on upcoming documentaries. And of course filming my shows.
