Episode 65, Hooked on the Foil

We are having a great season of foiling and sailing.  Our gear gets us out in any breeze over 9 kts.  From that point we are up and flying.  And under that breeze we have Matsya in the conditions she loves.

It has been a while since my last video.  As the saying goes, “The shoe makers kids go barefoot”.  For me to get video it is just off the strut which is nice but a little too much for a whole video.  So this time we have stills and video thanks to Liz Baylis.

After watching us foiling in Dutch Harbor, while Liz and Todd where on their Sabre 425 near Pierre, Liz was game to take some stills.  While we were rafted with Liz and Todd at Block Island over the Labor Day weekend, Liz came out in the dinghy to shoot some stills.

What a great thrill for me, I am so use to being the one taking the pictures and shooting the video. It is very rare I have the opportunity to sail and have someone capture me having fun.

Enjoy this short and fun video.  Check out how smooth Carol is foiling.  The smoothest I have seen.  So much fun to be hooked on the foil together.

Enjoy the fall, see you soon, Paul
