  • RORC Caribbean 600 & Antigua 360

Great time of year with spring starting next week.  We are back home after an amazing month working and foiling in Antigua.   I have been busy culling an setting up galleries for clients from the month away. So now I have the time to go through the rest of the photos. I am building albums/galleries for all the classes and some individual boats.   Not only do I have the RORC Caribbean 600 start, but also the Antigua 360 start.  Both will be mixed together in the galleries. New albums and galleries will be going up each day for the…

  • Antigua, Caribbean 600 Race

We are in Antigua for the RORC Caribbean 600 Race, and of course wingfoiling most days. As many of you know Carol is writing a book about Hound which won her class last year. This year Hound made the podium again. Great boat and fantastic team. I was hired for detail photographs of Hound in Newport/Jamestown, and in Antigua did a training sail. Below is a quick gallery I put together, from the start of the 600. There is a lot more to come. I will build individual boat galleries as requested, and each for class. There will be a…

  • Breaking the Winter Photography Blues

Welcome to winter, you wake up and see another gray on gray day. Your camera gear is ready to go but you are not too excited about what to shoot. Take the challenge below and enjoy the gray on gray light to improve your creativity. When it comes down to it we are only shooting light.  Gray on gray is still light.  Sure it would be nice to have a post cold front with lots of clouds, wind, fast changing weather, and sun.  That will come but, in January/February try getting present with the conditions. In the winter I go…

  • Training the Machine Part 2

OK, for part 2 let’s dive into the fitness discussion.  Good time of year to refine your training for the upcoming season. I will repeat what I said in part 1 that we are all different, and have different physical needs to bring the machine to top performance.  But we all have the same end goal, to tune us so we have the opportunity to get into the flow state. But to get into the flow state does not just happen by chance, you have to train for it, just as you have to do with all the elements of…

  • Training the Machine, Part 1

This is the time of year to reassess your personal training in all areas. The goal is to take control, and live a smart life style to make the machine (you) efficient and running smooth. The reason I say life style is this is not only about fitness.  There are so many ways to make you efficient at everything you do, feel, and learn.  A few examples are sleep, physical health, mental health, nutrition, injury prevention, proper physical training, learning, being creative, having fun every day, living your passions, are just some of the areas.  But for this post let’s…

  • Episode 65, Hooked on the Foil

We are having a great season of foiling and sailing.  Our gear gets us out in any breeze over 9 kts.  From that point we are up and flying.  And under that breeze we have Matsya in the conditions she loves. It has been a while since my last video.  As the saying goes, “The shoe makers kids go barefoot”.  For me to get video it is just off the strut which is nice but a little too much for a whole video.  So this time we have stills and video thanks to Liz Baylis.  After watching us foiling in…
