• Winter Boat Project Management

We are near the end of haul out season in New England, so now is the perfect time to plan the winter projects. Upgrading your boat is a great way to increase your enjoyment, make your boat safer, faster, and more fun for the crew and family. If you need help planning, finding the right parts, doing the job properly, keeping the end result simple and efficient, or hiring a yard to do the work. I am here to help make the project go smoothly and on budget. Solving problems if it is poor performance, old electrical/electronics, engine that has…

  • Seasons Changing

We have been very fortunate this fall with nice weather for being on the water. I took Pierre to Pleasant Street Boat Yard today to hang on the dock for a couple of weeks. Matsya is in her shed, and wing foil gear is still in the van ready to go. I love this time of year on the water, the crowds are gone, water temp is still at 59 today, but now starting to drop off quickly till late January when it is near or at freezing. So we are making the most of it now. Congratulation to one…

  • Episode 62, Wing Foiling the Next Step

This has been a fun video to shoot and edit. It is the first time I have used a 360 camera (GoPro Max). There are a few extra steps, and software needed to finally edit in Premier Pro CC. But getting the same onboard perspective is not possible with non 360 POV’s. The quality is not up to what I shoot with my other gear, but the point of view helps make the story. I would like to thank all the other wing foil sailors who we have met, shared great information, and smiles. The sport is so open with…

  • Our new Addiction

This has been one of the best summers I can remember. We have sailed more than we have in the past, and together. Wing Foiling is our new addiction. Very hard to explain to people who have not experienced flying on a board with a wing over your head. Well just like anything in life you have to experience it to know what it is really about. This is not an instant gratification sport like Archmedes sailing. It takes the dedication to put yourself out there crashing for weeks, and some for months before you get up and flying. And…

  • World Champions

Four years ago was a very special time for Carol and Kim with their Snipe career. So I thought is appropriate to repost my thoughts on that regatta. There are defining moments in life and this past week was one of those special moments. I had the honor to coach, and see my two favorite sailors win the Snipe Women’s World Championship. Carol Cronin and Kim Couranz who have been together as a team in the Snipe for eight years. Prior to that I also had the honor of coaching them in the Yngling. Carol and Kim personify to me…

  • Contender 28 & 30 Video Reviews

Here are a couple great boat reviews with Lenny Rudow on camera. It is nice to bring back some of the video boat reviews that have been on my site, since few might do the deep dive to find them. So while I sit on the beautiful porch in the hills of Maine over looking the ocean with the hummingbirds ruling the local airwaves, I will highlight two more fun ones. We shot these on a very hot day in Sarasota Florida. Lenny could not be happier since these are fishing machines. Enjoy the rides. If you are looking for…

  • Wakeboard/Wake Surfing

This was a very hot day (105 F) in Texas when we shot these videos. So I thought it would be appropriate since the country has been under a heat wave for weeks. Watch the videos and hopefully it cools you off a bit. If you need to hire a director, camera operator, photographer, editor who knows boats. I am your guy, with access to a team of top producers, and on screen talent, lets talk. The two videos where shot for Tige boats who manufacture top of the line wake boats. These where to highlight the Tige RZ4 and…

  • Trailer Launching and Fishing Reels

Time to showcase some cool videos I have directed, shot, and edited. Welcome to Lenny Rudow one of the best, if not the best person I have filmed on camera. Lenny just gets it, and has been so much fun to work with over the years. We have traveled Europe, and most of the US as a team filming boats and everything to do with boats. The first video is part of a RAM Trucks series we did for a week long shoot. This is as the title says Trailering, Launching, and Retrieving a Boat on Sand and Mud, plus…
